亨。王假有庙，利见大人，亨，利贞。用大牲吉，利有攸往。
Gathering together. Success. The king approaches their temple. It furthers one to see the great person. This brings success. Perseverance furthers. To bring great offerings creates good fortune. It furthers one to undertake something.

泽上于地，萃，君子以除戎器，戒不虞。
The lake rises up above the earth: the image of gathering together. Thus the superior person renews their weapons in order to meet the unforeseen.

Initial Six · 初六
⚋ yin
有孚不终，乃乱乃萃。若号，一握为笑，勿恤，往无咎。
If you are sincere, but not to the end, there will sometimes be confusion, sometimes gathering. If you call out, then after one grasp of the hand you can laugh again. Do not be sad. Going is without blame.
Sincerity that wavers leads to alternating chaos and assembly. One firm call restores it; no need for grief.
Six in the second · 六二
⚋ yin
引吉，无咎，孚乃利用禴。
Letting oneself be drawn brings good fortune and remains without blame. If one is sincere, it furthers one to bring even a small offering.
Drawn into the assembly through right relationship — fortune; even a small sincere offering works.
Six in the third · 六三
⚋ yin
萃如，嗟如，无攸利。往无咎，小吝。
Gathering together amid sighs. Nothing that would further. Going is without blame. Slight humiliation.
Wish to gather but cannot; sighs of frustration. Going forward is blameless, with minor shame.
Nine in the fourth · 九四
⚊ yang
大吉，无咎。
Great good fortune. No blame.
Highest fortune — but only because one does not arrogate the position; without that humility, blame would attach.
Nine in the fifth · 九五
⚊ yang
萃有位，无咎。匪孚，元永贞，悔亡。
If in gathering together one has position, this brings no blame. If there are some who are not yet sincerely in the work, sublime and enduring perseverance is needed. Then remorse disappears.
Hold central position; with those not yet trusting, hold supreme and enduring steadfastness (yuan yong zhen) — their suspicion dissolves.

赍咨涕洟，无咎。
Lamenting and sighing, floods of tears. No blame.
Isolated in the gathering, weeping; honest self-reflection brings safety, no blame.
