Judgment
— I Ching · classical
The corners of the mouth. Perseverance brings good fortune. Pay attention to the providing of nourishment, and to what a person seeks to fill their mouth with.
Image
— Great Image
At the foot of the mountain, thunder: the image of providing nourishment. Thus the superior person is careful of their words and temperate in eating and drinking.
Six Lines
— Bottom to top
Initial Nine · 初九
⚊ yang
You let your magic tortoise go and look at me with the corners of your mouth dropping. Misfortune.
Abandoning your real core asset (the magical tortoise) to gawk at someone else's wealth and bubbles — misfortune.
Six in the second · 六二
⚋ yin
Turning to the summit for nourishment, deviating from the path to seek nourishment from the hill. Continuing to do this brings misfortune.
Asking for nourishment in the wrong direction (downward instead of from the proper source) violates the natural order; persistence is misfortune.
Six in the third · 六三
⚋ yin
Turning away from nourishment. Perseverance brings misfortune. Do not act thus for ten years. Nothing serves to further.
Against the natural way of nourishment. A long fast from this path — ten years — is required.
Six in the fourth · 六四
⚋ yin
Turning to the summit for provision of nourishment brings good fortune. Spying about with sharp eyes like a tiger with insatiable craving. No blame.
Reaching up for nourishment is sometimes proper when paired with the fierce focus of the tiger — no blame.
Six in the fifth · 六五
⚋ yin
Turning away from the path. To remain persevering brings good fortune. One should not cross the great water.
Unable to nourish oneself, must rely on others — hold integrity, stay put, do not undertake great ventures.
Nine at the top · 上九
⚊ yang
The source of nourishment. Awareness of danger brings good fortune. It furthers one to cross the great water.
Becoming the source from which all are fed. Dangerous responsibility; carried with awareness, it crosses the great water.

Compensation design, wellness industry, restructuring of core business. Audit the corporate 'metabolism' — what does the firm consume, what does it produce?
Psychology & Cognition
'Disease enters through the mouth, disaster issues from the mouth.' Manage information intake strictly (no junk media); manage financial outflow; tend body and emotion.

Watch what you swallow — informationally, financially, socially. Do not abandon your own treasures to envy others' bubbles.
Western Parallels
— Cross-cultural
Cal Newport's 'digital minimalism' (information diet); the Stoic discipline of attention (what you allow to enter your mind shapes your soul); Jim Rohn's 'you are the average of the five people you spend most time with'; nutritional biology applied to the mind.
